Technology

The mission of Holy Spirit is to develop independent, life-long learners who can and will live for Christ.

Creative Computing

We have been blessed here at Holy Spirit with amazing technology!  Our school has multiple platforms for students to work from: iPads, Chromebooks, Microsoft Windows laptops , and high powered digital cameras.  We also have a full computer lab, where students embrace technology responsibly to prepare our students for the future.

All classes K-6 have a computer class that they attend.  In this class, they learn the ins and outs of a computer.  Skills in computer class start in Kindergarten and are built upon during their years at Holy Spirit.  Middle school students must take at least one computer elective during either 7th or 8th grade.  Courses vary and students can choose one that suits their interests.  They even have the opportunity to help create the school yearbook! With all the amazing technology we have, we are preparing our students to be responsible lifelong learners who can and will live for Christ.

Hour of Code

Grades 1-8 participated in the Hour of Code this week during their computer classes.  The Hour of Code is a worldwide movement to get kids excited about computer science and computer programming.  Students used code to create games and had a great time doing it!  For more information on the Hour of Code, visit www.code.org
