Spanish

Holy Spirit students grades 3 - 8 have the opportunity to study the Spanish language and culture.  Spanish is the official language of 20 countries, plus Puerto Rico, and is third most spoken language in the world after English and Chinese.   Within the Spanish language, students learn language structures through repetition in the form of questions and answers and stories to develop conversational world language skills.  All supported by kinesthetic learning to assist students in memorization of vocabulary.

Students will research the history , holidays and culture of the Spanish-speaking countries and Hispanic influence on everyday culture such as media, music, food and sports.
